Another trip!

AHHH!!! It seems like we just got home and are back to somewhat of a normal life and we're on the road again....except it's for a great occasion. My bro and his fiance are getting married in the my most favorite place in all the world....Glacier Park!!! I have always wanted to photograph a wedding there and now it's even greater because it's family! We get to stay in a brand new lodge, just our family all to ourselves, we can't wait. It's going to be a lot of fun, so stay tuned for pics and the story behind them.

After the wedding, we'll be at my parent's house for a few days and then we will fly back to Seattle the morning of the 4th and celebrate that here in Seattle and then we have decided to go to Cannon Beach, OR for the rest of the weekend....we are really taking advantage of Chris' free zip cars and free gas through his internship!!! Yay for Perkins!!! If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't be doing anything with the price of gas the way it is, yikes!!

So, I can't complain about the traveling because we'll make lots of memories, I just hate packing!!!! It's the worst thing in the world...I absolutely would rather clean my toilet 20 times or change a bunch of poopy diapers than pack.......that's how bad I hate it....but to see the world and have fun, I guess it's worth it. We're gonna soak up the summer this year, we aren't moving for once and I am not pregnant, so it's gonna be great! Cause once the school year comes around, it's be back to normal life and I'll probably be wishing to go somewhere, Ha!

So, it's almost midnight and I am rambling, but I just love the release of writing my thoughts and documenting it.....and everyone's asleep and I'm finally done packing!! But now I'll be hating life because Brooklyn is way too excited to go on a plane ride tomorrow that she will probably be up at 5am asking when we are leaving! It's cute though, she can't wait to be the flower girl.

Beckham is walking!!!

So, Beckham kind of started walking the middle of May, he took 4 steps by himself at my parent's house in Montana. That was pretty exciting, but we decided not to work with him too much yet....I didn't want to have to run after him already, he was already growing up too fast. So anyway, after our traveling around and getting settled back at home, we were working with him again and a couple of weeks ago he would just get all excited and take two steps and then lunge forward into either of our arms. So we decided to give up for a while and watch TV. Well a little while later, Beckham was just cruising around the furniture holding on and turned and smiled at me. I said something to him and said come here cutie and he totally let go of the couch and walked over 5 or 6 steps. Chris and I were totally not expecting it, I don't think Beckham was either, it was so funny. So he got all proud of himself and got brave and tried doing it a few more times, but would get too excited and laugh and fall down. It was so fun.

So we've just worked with him the last few weeks and now he will get his balance and walk 6 to 8 steps at a time. He concentrates so hard, it's so cute!!! I just love him, I just want to squeeze him all the time, he's so cuddly!!

Another fun game, he loves to play is the stair game. If I don't put up the gate he will go over to the stairs get on the first step and turn around a make a noise and smile. I say get back here, I'm going to get you.....and he takes off and laughs and giggles and squeals as he goes as fast as he can up the stairs...and if I get behind him, he gets all excited and goes faster and if I try to tickle him, he still tries to concentrate on climbing but will put one hand back and slap my hand away, it's so funny, he's got the funnest personality. He's my little sweetheart!

Brooklyn's Enchanted Fairy Party in Seattle

So, yes, we had another party for Brooklyn. So that makes 4, one in Montana with her GG and Papa, one on her birthday with her friend Linus, one in Durango with her cousins, and now one here in Seattle with two of her little friends. The fairy party was so fun to put together for Durango, we wanted to do one here too with her friends.

We live a mile down the road from a place called Camp Long. It's a preserved forest that has 10 little cabins and trails, a lodge, climbing rock, and open fields to play in. We go walking there every now and then and decided to look into what the cabins were like. They are only $40 a night and sleep up to 12 people.....of course there are no bathrooms...you have to go to a community bathroom, but for $40 to camp and have a bed and fire pit, grill and tables, you can't beat that.

So anyway, on with the story. Last Friday night, we rented cabin #8 at camp long and it was so fun. We were secluded by a little pond that had a few little bridges, beautiful trees, and lots of space for playing. Chris got off work early and we went down to set up. Brooklyn was so excited because we told her we were staying in Snow White's cottage....she couldn't wait and when we got in the cabin got the broom out and started cleaning just like Snow White did for the dwarfs. She even brought her Snow White costume to wear over her pajamas. She loved the cabin, it had 3 double sized bunk beds and she loved her "ladder" bed and had so much fun climbing up it and playing around.

We decorated around our cabin with fairy wings, toole, butterflies, seashells, gems, and feathers and set up the table cute with her tinkerbell cake and fairies. Brooklyn got into her fairy costume and we put on her makeup and she was ready to party. When Tallulah and Fiona arrived, they were wearing their fairy dresses and also got to have their makeup done with fairy tattoos too! They couldn't wait to go on their fairy treasure hunt. They all ran down by the little pond with their baskets and collected the gems, seashells, etc and really had fun. Kian and Sawyer even had fun finding things on the ground. Beckham stayed back with his daddy and helped grill the hamburgers and hot dogs and drank root beer. The girls brought back their loot and checked it all out and we all had dinner. The regular camping food along with star-shaped marshmallow fairy wands and frozen star-shaped watermelon sticks. Brooklyn opened her gifts and then the girls were off to play.

They all held hands and ran around the trails, it was a perfect photography moment as you can see from the pictures. The sat on the bridges and sang songs and acted silly. They danced and twirled and giggled, it was so fun! We came back and sang Happy Birthday and had cake and made s'mores around the fire. All the kids loved that, especially Beckham, he really gets into what we are doing. He really wanted to play with the big boys and was checking out how Sawyer did this walking thing and how Kian ran around with the girls.

We were so busy having fun that I totally forgot to have the girls make their fairy wands.....luckily I had two that were already made and gave them to them. Everyone would have stayed longer if the sun hadn't gone down, but it was getting late and the fairies had to get their beauty rest. Brooklyn and Beckham both went to sleep in the cabin and Chris and I took the portable DVD player and watched a movie out by the fire and made more s'mores. It was a really fun date for us!!

The next morning, it was beautiful out, we played and ran and hiked around. Brooklyn ran around as snow white and we decided that we would make it a tradition to come stay at the snow white cottage once a summer. It was a fun memory to make and Brooklyn still tells me every day, "Hey mom, remember when i went and stayed at Snow White's house and had the fairy party!" And she tells everyone about it too, so cute!!

Catching up on the past year

So, I started writing Chris and my story of how we met and fell in love almost 5 years ago...it was only supposed to go from right around the time we met until we got married, but I loved our story and all the fun connections we had, it seemed we were meant to be. I kept writing...I wrote religiously until last May....(2007). I was so disappointed with myself for not keeping up on it, I had been thinking of different ways to find time to write about our life and try to catch up on the whole year I had lost. I set up my computer so I could dictate and it would type it for me, that was pretty cool but sometimes the computer would write the funniest stuff...it would take me more time to proof read it. So I am happy to say that I am going to blog it all. I heard that you can print out and/or put your blog onto CD/DVD....does anyone know if this is correct or how to do it?

Anyway, I am so excited to start writing again.

I am the biggest nerd!

So I have really become the classic mom/housewife. We just bought an awesome vaccum and I am so excited. I never ever thought I would be so excited about buying a vacuum. But after buying crappy, cheap vaccums.....it was so worth it to spend the extra and the best part was it was on sale for $150 off!!! It's a Dyson...never looses suction, it is awesome, whenever we vacuum now, it looks like we shampooed our carpets. I love it! It even has a setting to do bare floors, for the times you need a quick clean up....love it! Yay!!!

Our little flower girl

Our little Brooklyn is going to be a flower girl in Uncle Ryan and Aunt Staci's wedding. We decided we'd better practice with her to get her excited about it. So here she is in an outfit she put together practicing. She knows she is important...we told her that she had to leave the flower petals so that Staci would know which way to go. It was pretty cute! Here is a video of her practicing on a different day dressed as snow white. She is really excited to be a flower girl and knows that she will get a special treat if she does it just right.

Father's Day weekend

We had a nice weekend, it was so fun to be home together finally and not have anything else going on. Chris got home Friday after work and we headed down to Lincoln Park by our house to play some horse shoes. We really had fun and the kids loved being outside in the forest-like park. After we played, we took a walk through the trails of Lincoln Park, it's one of our favorite parks here because it's like we traveled out of town to the forest, but it's just 2 miles away. As we were walking and pulling the kids in the wagon, we found a caterpillar, Brooklyn was so excited since she knows so much about caterpillars and butterflies. She wanted to take it home...so we did and put him in a jar and called him Fuzz. Then on Sunday, we looked in the jar for him and he had already started making a cacoon.....Brooklyn said, "Oh and then he is going to go "Pop!" and come out and he'll be a beautiful butterfly." She can't wait.

Saturday, we went and rented a zip car....Hooray for Chris' work!!! All summer we get free zip cars and free gas....we weren't ever going to leave the house with the way that gas prices are, but now we are totally taking advantage. We loaded up for a day up near Snowqualmie. We decided to find some new spots to go. We tried Twin Falls trail and had so much fun. Brooklyn explored everything with her dad and Beckham, as always, enjoyed being in the backpack making cute noises. It was a beautiful trail, very green and mossy and the waterfalls were totally worth it. There were four different ones to look at, they were really cool. From there we went to Rattlesnake Lake, one of our favorite spots and had a picnic lunch...we wished it would have been a bit warmer so get in the water...hopefully soon. Then we hit a fun garage sale and found some fun stuff and went and looked in a few new neighborhoods in the area we hadn't seen before. It was a great day!

Sunday was Father's day. We went to church and stayed after for our ward's linger longer and then went home......it was finally summer weather out. We took advantage and played outside on our little playground. Beckham loves the slide, he would stay out there all day if he could. Then we made a couple buckets full of water balloons and had a good water fight with Brooklyn, she thought this was the greatest thing. She giggled and laughed, it was great to see her reaction to it all. We gave Chris a stepping stone with the kids handprints in it, he loved it and we put it out in the backyard, it turned out pretty cool. I made a yummy new pork loin recipe I got from my mom and we had dinner and then headed for some sand play at the beach. We found a great spot for the kids to play. They entertained themselves for an hour and a half....no crying, fighting, etc. it was awesome. It was beautiful out and the sun just sparkled off the water. It was a perfect day. We came home and had peanut butter brownies and ice cream to finish off our fun weekend together.

Thanks Janeece!

So I could not have made my blog without the help of my friend Janeece! She rocks! She came over on Brooklyn's birthday with her little cutie, Linus and they had pizza and cupcakes. While the kids played, Janeece took the time to help me figure out what to do with this blog stuff and I love it. It's like a personal journal with vids and pics and music, I love it!! I hope all of you enjoy it as well. Janeece is in love with the band the Old 97's, she is in Vancouver tonight at their concert and then she is going to the concert here in Seattle tomorrow night, she's hardcore! Anyway, the lead singer, Rhett Miller, is hot so for Brooklyn's birthday, she made Brooklyn a Rhett Miller shirt....Brooklyn says "He's my boy---friend!" Picture her saying it with sass, it's pretty cute. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the Warner Family blog......and thanks again Janeece!

Durango Trip May 2008

We recently went on vacation with Chris' whole family to Durango, CO. We had a fun time. We were so glad to be able to have Chris there for 3 days out of the week. And he was happy that he got to come too, we've had to do a lot of trips without each other. We had a really nice cabin next to a lake and it was very relaxing and fun. Brooklyn loved the time spent with her cousins, Claire and Xander and we were finally able to meet Mia, the newest addition to the family. Beckham really liked her a lot! We went on a train ride through the mountains, hiking, boating, did a little shopping and it was really a nice time. We made jewelry, played games, played the wii, made crafts with the kids, played on the playground with them, made good food, took naps : ) and just relaxed. Brooklyn was able to have her 3rd birthday party up there. It was a fairy party and it was so fun. I made the cutest cake and the girls dressed up as fairies and made wands and went for a fairy treasure hunt. The got to have gumdrop punch and fairy snacks. It was so fun! It was a good time and fun to see everyone. Oh and on the way home we were able to go to Mesa Verde. An old indian ruin, it was so neat!

Firehouse Tour

Today we went to the firehouse. Brooklyn was so excited. I told her last night that we were going to go and she said, "Oh yay!, maybe when I get there the fireman will give me some green and blue suckers." I didn't think anything of it and then when she woke up, she said the same thing...Chris and I wondered where she got that...but then again, we know she has the best memory of anyone I know. She was thinking back to Halloween down on the waterfront. There was a fire truck there and firemen passing out candy. Anyway, she had a great time and so did Beckham. They got to hear the siren and see the flashing lights...they got to see the ladders and hoses. Then they got to sit in the firetruck and pretend to drive! She loved every minute. We watched the firemen go down the pole and put on their gear and got to take pictures. Then they were given Junior firefighter badges and Brooklyn took this very serious. I had to call her fireman Brooklyn all the way home. She had to call her daddy and her Papa to tell them all about it. Beckham had fun taking it all in and the firefighters thought he was pretty cute!

Beckham's 9 month pictures

Hey! I am getting the hang of this, and it's pretty fun! Beckham is my sweet mama's boy....I can totally say that now....just don't let him know that I said that when he's a teenager. He is all boy but a tenderhearted, chubalicious cuddler! He is exploring life at it's best. He is crawling and walking along everything. Getting into everything is his favorite thing to do besides trying to crawl up the stairs every time I turn around. One of his favorite things is to crawl into the bathroom and stand by the toilet paper and unroll it all...it's really annoying but he always gives me the biggest smile so most of the time he gets away with it. He is a smiler and a flirt. He is so happy and makes anyone feel good that he is around with his sweet presence. He has four teeth, his two bottom middle teeth and then his top two fangs, he's our little vampire, it's pretty funny, I just hope the top middles come through sometime.

We were in Montana for a month and Beckham loved every minute. He especially loved his Papa and the truck! Everyday when Dad got home, Beckham would get thebiggest smiles and get all crazy and want Papa to hold him. He loved to sit on Papa's lap and drive the truck and look at the cows. When Papa would get out to open a gate, Bekcham would sit on my lap but as soon as he saw Papa coming back, he'd lunge out of my arms to sit on his Papa, it was so cute. We had a great time and Beckham loved being around Grandma GG, he always ate the best for her and loved her to sing to him. He also liked the babies kitties and even touched the snake!

We recently got back from a trip to Durango, CO with Chris' family. We had a great time at a fun cabin in the mountains. Beckham enjoyed being with his cousins, he especially got a kick out of his little cousin Mia and was always trying to rearrange her face...sometimes she liked it and sometimes she didn't. He also loved Xander and just watched and watched him and smiled whenever he was around. Beckham loved going for walks in the backpack and even got a few naps in. He loved the train ride to Silverton and had fun sitting on each of his aunt's and uncle's laps.

Well, he is 10 months now, but here are his 9 months pictures....he is getting close to walking and he says dada mama baba and lots of other funny things that Brooklyn and I get a kick out of. These kids make Chris and I so happy, we just love being parents to these cuties!!

Brooklyn's 3 year old pictures

Hey all! Our sweet Brooklyn Bug just turned 3 recently, we can't believe how time has passed. She is so much fun and is so full of life. She has grown up so much in the last year. She is a great big sister and loves her little Beckham. We recently went to Montana for a month while Chris was studying for finals. We had a blast!! Brooklyn loved the cows, kitties, and even the snake the cat brought home. She had so much fun with her Grandma GG and her Papa. She went crazy over a quilt my mom made for her, she loved it and wanted to have it with her all the time. We had some fun tea parties and loved playing outside. We went to feed cows with Papa a lot. Brooklyn was the best truck driver and loved honking the horn. She loved climbing haystacks and talking to the big bulls. We went exploring a lot where we found Tinkerbell and Peter Pan's houses and did lots of pretending. When Chris came, she showed him everything we had been doing, it was a fun time for all of us. Here are Brooklyn's 3 year old pictures!
