We get together with Lori and her kids as much as we can and we always have a blast. One day we went to Coulon Park on Lake Washington. The kids just played and played and enjoyed the sand, sun and water. Another day we went to the bouncy house place and had a really fun time. We also love playing in their pool at their apartment complex.
Tallulah and Brooklyn just love playing with each other and never want to be separated after a fun day of playing. Sawyer and Beckham play well to, although Beckham has a soft spot for baby Willow. He wants to hold her every chance he can get. He loves her! It is so cute to see how sweet he is with her. He'll hold her and touch her little fingers and giggle and run his hand over her face and hair. He also gives her little kisses. It's completely and totally adorable! Brooklyn, too, loves to hold Willow and even rocked her to sleep one day. Hmmmmm, I wonder if this is a sign that we should have another baby....hmmmm we'll see!

Rainforest Cafe tour
The West Seattle Mom of Tots meetup group set up a tour of the Rainforest Cafe'. Brooklyn and Beckham LOVE it so of course, we were going. I invited my cousin Lori and her kids and we had a blast. They had a guy come out and talk to us about the forest and all the animals and he was really animated and fun and got the kids involved. We went all through the restaurant and learned about crocodiles, snakes, gorillas, fish, elephants and other animals. The kids loved it and had so much fun. At the end of the tour they got to eat lunch. Brooklyn, Tallulah, Sawyer and Beckham chowed down on hamburgers, chicken nuggets, fries, and pizza. They had a great time and we even got a gift certificate for the gift shop, so I got them some little animals that they love to play with.
Brooklyn's Dance Class
Our little girl...what can I say? She is just so imaginative. I love it because she lives life to the fullest. She is always daydreaming...I wonder where she got that from. She tells me cute stories and has me pretend with her. We tried taking ballet class once and it was fun for her but I switched her over to creative dance and that is Perfect for her. She loves it because her teacher tells stories while they dance and they get to pretend and act things out as they dance. They also incorporate gymnastics with it. She has loved that class and her teacher, this last time we took it was going to be the last time for awhile since it is summer and we are going to be gone...she is very sad but I can't wait to get her in another class, it really lets her be herself. Here she is doing a little obstacle course, her teacher always has her go first because she never fights to be first and because she takes direction very well and because she is GOOD! Beckham and I always watch her on the TV monitor outside, he loves to watch her and loves it when class is over and he gets to try everything she did during class. I can't wait until he is old enough to get started in something fun.

Brooklyn, the best scripture giver ever!!!
Brooklyn was asked to give the scripture on Easter Sunday. So we looked up a scriptrue and made up a tune so she could learn it by singing it. She did awesome and had it learned in one day and then we practiced all week. Here is one night just being silly and practicing and then the very last one is on the actual day she gave the scripture, she did awesome....I thought she would recite it but she sang it and that made it even cuter. And cute little Beckham found some silverware and played percussion for her.
Easter Weekend!
Easter is always a fun holiday at our house. I am a dork and I like to celebrate holidays way longer than I should and I go all out....but that's the way I like it and it makes good memories....I learned it from my mom.
We dyed Easter eggs and Beckham thought it was so great to be able to get all messy and dip stuff in colored water...although he got hungry and broke open an egg and started eating it and then would dip it in the dye and take another bite and I could hear egg shell crunching...crazy kid! Brooklyn made some very pretty eggs, she is my artist and always does things very precise and beautiful.
The Easter bunny came a few days early because of our busy schedule. The kids didn't know so who cares right?? They woke up to baskets at the top of the stairs with a note from the Easter bunny. They went down the stairs and saw m&m's, jelly beans and plastic eggs. Our two cute kids ran all over the living room finding all the silly places candy was hidden. They also found their present...an ant farm, since our kids are crazy about bugs. Beckham also got a light up ball and Brooklyn got a light up bunny. They had a blast finding all their stuff and then hiding it for Chris and I to find.
That Saturday was the primary activity at the church that Shannon Ellis and I were in charge of. We had the kids come and make bunny ears and decorate them and then they all listened to the Easter story. Then it was time for the egg hunt. It was wet outside so the kids 4 and under just found eggs and candy in the Relief Society room and the big kids went outside. Brooklyn was very good at finding eggs but Beckham found one piece of candy and just wanted to open that and eat it, he wasn't interested in any more hunting.
The kids were all excited with their finds in their baskets and came back in to decorate a couple of Easter cookies, it was a really fun time.
On Easter Sunday Brooklyn gave the scripture in primary closing exercises. She is so cute, we put the scripture she learned to a little song so she could memorize it and I thought she would memorize it and then just be able to recite it. But she sang it, it was the cutest thing and everyone was very impressed with how grown up she was and how brave she was....she even said "John chapter 11 verse 25" at the end. And then Brooklyn's sunbeam teacher gave them a giant basket full of fun stuff, she is the cutest teacher, Brooklyn just loves her.
I really don't remember what we did the rest of the day, I'm sure we made a nice dinner and perhaps we took naps but I'm so behind on all my posts that you got the best of my memory.

Zane came to visit!!!
So my brother Zane finally came to visit me after 3 years of us living here. It was about time! We had a blast!!! I remember why I like Zane, he can make me laugh and be silly and care free. He's just that kind of guy. Anyway, he brought a couple of friends with him and we, of course, showed them the sights of Seattle and had some good times!
They got to our house in the evening sometime in April and we took them to Luna Park Cafe', a very yummy restaurant that make the BEST milkshakes ever!! My fav is the chocolate peanut butter shake, mmmmm. Then we took them to the view point on West Seattle to see downtown, then to Alki beach and then back home to just hang out. The kids were excited to see Zane, especially Brooklyn because she knows she can be as silly as she wants around Uncle Zane. That night, we stayed up so late having a LAN party (for those of you who don't know, Local Area Network party, meaning we were all on our laptops finding funny things to show each other). Then Zane and I started telling some funny stories about growing up together and the laughing began and didn't stop and even when I stopped I'd start again because of his girly giggle. It was a great time.
The next morning we got Chris to skip class and we went downtown via the water taxi and went to Pike's Place, the gum wall, and the Space Needle. They all left their gum on the wall at the gum wall and then at the Space Needle they have carnival rides, Zane and Brooklyn went on a ride similar to the Dumbo ride at Disneyland and then we made them go on this frog ride and it was a little funny because it wasn't for "big" kids and Zane was pretty squished in the seat but Brooklyn really loved having Uncle Zane go on rides with her.
When we got home that afternoon, Zane and his friends went to Kurt Cobain's house on Lake Washington and then Zane went with me to watch Brooklyn at her dance class. She was super excited to have him watch her, she was being a cutie! We had dinner that night and then watched the Goonies so that Zee and his friends could prepare for their road trip the next day and see all of the sights in Oregon that were in the movie. They headed out the next morning and I just had to take a picture because all the boys got ready and didn't realize they were all wearing their camo pants and hoodies, too funny. Brooklyn tried to go with Uncle Zane and was sad to see him go buy loved that he brought her and Beckham a shirt.
Thanks for the good time Zane, can't wait to see you again!!
